Headlight and Dome light change :: 2002 Dodge Stratus?

Hi everyone, thanks for helping me out. 10 points and my gratitude to the clearest correct answer!



I have a 2002 Dodge Stratus, four door.



FIRST:

The front right headlight is out and I can't figure out how to replace that. Should the whole thing just pop out like the tail lights?



SECOND:

The dome light is also out. Seems like this should be a simple fix, but I can't get that cover off and I don't want to break it. Should it just pop out, or is there a special way to take the cover off?

For the headlamp, open the hood and you will find 2 headlamp retaining screws which go down through the headlamp assy from the top. They are long screws with a small 8mm head. Once they are out pull the headlamp assy straight out the front of the car and change the bulb from the back.



The dome lamp cover does just pop off. It can be a little tight. use a small flat blade screwdriver to get under the edge and pop it off.

the headlight, is the cover broke or just the bulb took a dump? if the bulb went out, you can open the hood and reach behind the light and unscrew it out, snap it off and the reverse for putting it back in.



the cover can be unbolted,unscrewed from the behind.



the dome light, its a simple pop off. try checking the fuse first.
