Can u check out this poem about a dog at a humane shelter ?

in a begrimed puppy mill is where my life began.

in the cold of dawn's beautiful and violaceous light.

in anticipation of my genesis, my mother suffered through the night.

at 6 weeks old i was wrested from her by the brutish hominids

who kept us caged up in filthy chicken wire tight. through her tears she told me to be brave and not despair, that someday someone will care and there will always be a light.

thats why when i see you i still wag my tail %26amp;dream of futures bright. of playing catch in the green grass, reveling in the sunlight of golden afternoons. when u took me home from the pet shop, my heart glowed inspirited.

totally oblivious of my fate that would soon befall

how was i to know u would tire of me so soon?

as a starved and misbegotten whelp , i was wandering the streets

in the dying embers of november, i thought of my mother sweet.

she told me someday someone will care and there will always be a light.

that's why when i see u , i still wag my tail and dream of futures bright.

while trying to sprint across the avenue, led by the scent of food, i

i was struck by a speeding car at the change of a traffic light. at that moment everything went black. when i awoke i found my self embraced by warm arms in uniforms of green. as angels of deliverance they took me to a place where i soon learned that not all humans are.mean. dear mother u were right, u told me that someday someone will care and there will always be a light. that's why when i see u i stll wag my tail and dream of futures bright.Can u check out this poem about a dog at a humane shelter ?

    North Carolina is a glamorous state

    Imagine a place that has huge mountains, pine trees, and crystal clear lakes that just take your breath away, and this place is North Carolina. When I visited North Carolina a year ago, I was astonished by how much scenery and attractions North Carolina had to offer me. The reasons why North Carolina is such a fascinating place to visit is it has beautiful scenery, awesome attractions, and other good places to go and see.

    To start off with, one reason why North Carolina is such gorgeous place to visit is because of its scenery. North Carolina has probably the tallest mountains that you could ever see; an example of one would be the Appalachian Mountains. The Application Mountains has many mountain ranges in North Carolina such as the Great Smokey Mountains, Black Mountains, and the Blue Ridge mountains. These green colored mountain ranges contain hill tops, huge trees, and crystal lakes. There are green hill tops that surround a mountain range they have a low peak and a high peak, these hill look like a slope going up and down. Some hills are smaller than others. The hill tops are across from each other and at the tail end of each hill is connected. There are also huge green pine trees which rest on the hills and there are about 2,000 or trees total. There are also crystal clear lakes that surround the mountain. Blue Ridge parkway is a mountain that has many colorful pine trees such as orange, red, and green. Blue Ridge Park also has walking trails were you can walk through them or drive through them. Blue Ridge Park also has a lake the swirls around the mountain. The scenery of North Carolina shows the true beauty of the state.

    Subsequently, another reason why North Carolina is such a dazzling place to visit is its attractions. One attraction that is a must see in North Carolina is Chimney Rock State Park. At Chimney Rock State Park, you take an elevator ride up on the top of the mountain called Chimney Rock, and you get to walk around on the top of the mountain. Chimney rock is 315 feet from the ground. Chimney rock looks like a huge tan boulder rock on the bottom and on the top of the first rock is a tan boulder rock but with a narrow tail. On the tail of the top rock is a light brown stair case that is used for you to get on top of the mountain. On the north end of the top rock is the American flag standing up. Down below both rocks are green pine trees, a few gorges, and some green hill tops. On the east end right below the rock is a crystal lake. North Carolina also has a neat attraction called Hickory Nut Falls. Hickory Nut Falls is probably one of the largest waterfalls in the United States and it is absolutely spectacular to go and see. Hickory Nut falls is 404 feet from the ground. Hickory Nut Falls looks like three brown bolder rocks stacked up together. All around Hickory Nut Falls there are some green pine trees. From the top to the bottom of the waterfall there is white water that is flowing straight from the top to the bottom. On the bottom of the waterfall there is a pond filled with water that came from the water fall and under the water there are small rocks. Attractions are what make North Carolina a unique state.

    As a final point, North Carolina is a lovely place to visit because it has many other places to go and see. One place is in Ashville, North Carolina, which is an old historic hotel where I stayed (in their) one night. It is a hotel that Abraham Lincoln would have stayed in. In the hotel it had old wood desks, small bedrooms, and a lobby with old historic chairs, tables, and pictures. Another place is Lake Lure. Lake Lure is a nice big lake where you can take a pontoon boat out into the lake and you get to go around the whole lake and you also see a mountain that surrounds it. There are also many good restaurants that serve good food such as hamburgers, steak, and other types of food.

    To sum up, North Carolina is a gorgeous place that will make you never want to leave. North Carolina has breathtaking scenery, attractions, and many other places that are just worth seeing. So pack up your bags and go visit the beautiful state of North Carolina.Do you think this is a good essay and is very descriptive. Is there anything that you would change.?
    At this point, start a NEW paragraph about Hickory Nut Falls.

    Delete the sentence that starts out North Carolina also has a neat attraction...

    Combine the next two sentences about the height of HNF and how it looks.

    Delete the word 'some' in the next sentence about the pine trees.

    The sentence that begins %26quot;From the top to the bottom...%26quot; should read %26quot;White water flows straight...%26quot; then combine that sentence with the next with the conjunction 'and' then delete the phrase 'on the bottom of the waterfall'

    pp4 - Delete the opening phrase %26quot;As a final point%26quot;, so you just start with %26quot;North Carolina%26quot;

    Move the rest of this paragraph above, making it the new fourth paragraph. It falls in more logically with 'attractions' than a final point.

    Delete the parentheses with the words %26quot;in their%26quot;. Not only is it completely unnecessary, you used the wrong their. A good rule for understanding the Their, There, They're homonyms is to remove the T's, and see what is left of the word. With Their, the rest of the word is 'heir' which is usually another person - so their is used for things belonging to other people. With There, the rest of the word is 'here', so you know that one is for places. With They're, you know it's a contraction for they are, so you can only use that one where those words would fit. But I digress.

    So, now you have your lonely sentence %26quot;North Carolina is a lovely place to visit because it has many places to go and see%26quot; (yes, delete the word 'other'). Use that phrase as the beginning of your fabulous last paragraph.

    As it stands I would give this essay a 7 out of 10. Frankly, it seems like you used your thesaurus a lot, and got too descriptive trying to point out detail, and not descriptive enough about the general feel of the state. Also your writing is a little choppy. But you did make me want to visit. If you make the suggested changes, you could probably pull a B.

    Do you think this is a good essay and is very descriptive. Is there anything that you would change.?

    What would you give this essay out of 10 points. Oh, I'm a freshman in college.Do you think this is a good essay and is very descriptive. Is there anything that you would change.?
    I'd find another word besides glamorous - it doesn't fit.

    I would change sentence 2 to read: ...how much scenery and how many attractions...

    pp1Sentence 3: It is a fascinating place to visit because of it's beautiful scenery...

    pp2 - delete first sentence. Sentence 2 is far from correct, as the Rockies are far, far larger than the Applachians, to say nothing of the Himalayas. Applachia is beautiful in it's own way - but to say it's amazing large is simply not true.

    Sentence 3 - Application Mountains? Better change that.

    Sentence 4 - all mountain ranges contain hill tops Mr. Obvious. Strike that.

    Delete sentences 5 and 6. And 7.

    Sentence 8 - don't try to estimate the number of trees, just say 'thousands'

    Also combine sentences 8 and 9.

    Sentence 10 - Blue Ridge Parkway? is that a road or a mountain?

    Also, different colors of pine trees? Probably not. Unless they are dead. Pine trees are called evergreens for a reason. You may be speaking of the deciduous trees native to that region, which turn beautiful colors in the fall, drawing hundreds of thousands of people.

    Sentence 12: change to lake THAT swirls around a mountain. No need to use caps, I'm just highlighting the change.

    Delete last sentence.

    pp3

    Change first sentence to: North Carolina's dazzling natural features also attract many visitors to the state.

    2nd Sentence change to: On the must-see list are Chimney Rock and Hickory Nut Falls. At Chimney Rock State Park an elevator can be taken to the top of Chimney Rock...

    Combine sentences 3 and 4 and delete the detail about the boulder.

    Combine sentences 5 and 6.

    Delete sentence 7 about the lake unless you are going to go into detail about the lake.

    For rest of answer, see your other questionDo you think this is a good essay and is very descriptive. Is there anything that you would change.?
    Good Job!

    Scenery is used quite often try supbstituting view, landscape, or terrain.

    ~~~I have entered my suggestions in capital letters.~~~~~~~
    Imagine a place that has huge mountains, pine trees, and crystal clear lakes that just take your breath away, and this place is North Carolina. When I visited North Carolina a year ago, I was astonished by the LANDSCAPE and attractions North Carolina had to offer me. The reasons why North Carolina is such a fascinating place to visit is it has beautiful scenery, awesome attractions, and other good places to go and see.
    To start off with, one reason why North Carolina is such a gorgeous place to visit is because of its TERRAIN. North Carolina has probably the tallest mountains that you could ever see; an example of one would be the Appalachian Mountains. The Application (WRONG WORD) Mountains has (HAVE) many mountain ranges in North Carolina such as the Great Smokey Mountains, Black Mountains, and the Blue Ridge ((M)ountains. These green colored mountain ranges contain hill tops, huge trees, and crystal lakes. There are green hill tops that surround a mountain range they have a low peak and a high peak, these hill(S) look like a slope going up and down. Some hills are smaller than others. The hill tops are across from each other and at the tail end of each hill is connected. There are also huge green pine trees which rest on the hills and there are about 2,000 (OR?) trees total. There are also crystal clear lakes that surround the mountain. Blue Ridge parkway is a mountain that has many colorful pine trees such as orange, red, and green. Blue Ridge Park also has walking trails were you can walk through them or drive through them. Blue Ridge Park also has a lake the (THAT) swirls around the mountain. The scenery of North Carolina shows the true beauty of the state.
    Subsequently, another reason why North Carolina is such a dazzling place to visit is its attractions. One attraction that is a must see in North Carolina is Chimney Rock State Park. At Chimney Rock State Park, you take an elevator ride up on(TO) the top of the mountain called Chimney Rock, and you HAVE THE PLEASURE OF WALKING)to walk around on the top of the mountain. Chimney rock is 315 feet from the ground. Chimney rock looks like a huge tan boulder rock on the bottom and on the top of the first rock is a tan boulder rock but with a narrow tail. On the tail of the top rock is a light brown stair case that is used for you to get on top of the mountain. On the north end of the top rock is the American flag standing up(WAVING IN THE BREEZE). Down below both rocks are (TALL) pine trees, a few gorges, and some green hill tops. On the east end right below the rock is a crystal lake. North Carolina also has a neat attraction called Hickory Nut Falls. Hickory Nut Falls is probably one of the largest waterfalls in the United States and it is absolutely spectacular to go and see. Hickory Nut falls is 404 feet from the ground. Hickory Nut Falls looks like three (HUGE)brown bolder rocks stacked up together. All around Hickory Nut Falls (YOU WILL FIND THE SAME BEAUTIFUL PINE TREES) there are some green pine trees. From the top to the bottom of the waterfall there is (SHIMMERING, SPARKLING) water that is flowing straight from the top to the bottom. On the bottom of the waterfall there is a (POOL)filled with (THE REFRESHING LOOKING) water that came from the fall and under the water there are small rocks (THAT I WANTED TO PICK UP). Attractions are what make North Carolina a unique state.
    As a final point, North Carolina is a lovely place to visit because it has many other places to go and see. One place is in Ashville, North Carolina, which is an old historic hotel where I stayed (in their NOT NEEDED) one night. It is a hotel that Abraham Lincoln would(COULD) have stayed in. In the hotel it had old wood desks (I COULD ALMOST IMAGINE ABRAHAM LINCOLN SITTING IN), small (COMPACT) bedrooms, and (AN AWESOME) lobby with (ANTIQUE) historic chairs, tables, and pictures. Another place is Lake Lure. Lake Lure is a nice big lake where you can take a pontoon boat out into the lake and you get to go around the whole lake and you also see a mountain that surrounds it (WHAT A WONDERFUL SPOT FOR A GET AWAY). There are also many (TERRIFIC) restaurants that serve (MOUTH WATERING) food such as hamburgers, steak, and (ALMOST EVERYTHING ELSE YOU COULD POSSIBLY WANT) (AND THE SWEET ICED TEA WAS MARVELOUS).
    To sum up, North Carolina is a gorgeous place that will make you never want to leave. North Carolina has breathtaking scenery, (OVER WHELMING) attractions, and many other (SPOTS) that are just worth seeing. So pack up your bags and go visit the beautiful state of North Carolina.
    Do cats change colour as they grow older?
    Our cat disappeared nearly 2 months ago. Recently we've been seeing a cat that looks similar to it but we're not sure if its the same one. It is a light brownish tabby. It was about 4 months old when it disappeared and would be around 6 months old. This one seems much bigger and its tail is a lot thicker. Also the M on it's forehead is a lot darker than it was so we're not sure if its the same cat. Do cats grow much between 4 and 6 months? Does the colour of their stripes also change? Is it possible that its the same cat? It doesn't come to us when we call it. Any suggestions on how to get it back would be greatly appreciated.Do cats change colour as they grow older?
    One of my cats changed colour a bit as he got older. Is the cat you see healthy? Has it got a home? If so, I would find the owner and ask how long they've had it.Do cats change colour as they grow older?
    i think they do i know dogs do because my puppy had a mask when he was little and now its gone so its probably the same with cats they can grow fast between that time period. about the whole calling it over to you well cats dont listen to their actual names like dogs do. it most likely is your cat and if it isnt i hope you find your kitty soon enough. %26lt;3Do cats change colour as they grow older?
    it could very well be the same cat, they do most of their growing in their first year. most cats dont answer to names too. leave some food by the back door, try to entice the cat to come closer so yo can pet it when you see it
    good luckDo cats change colour as they grow older?
    Not really.
    BUT, animals can look slightly different in color between their thick winter coats and their shorter summer coats.Do cats change colour as they grow older?
    no they don't they stay the same colour but their eyes do
    Will my puppy's fur change color? [[pics]]?
    I'd love some opinions on whether or not my puppy Ruby's fur will change color.
    Due to phone issues, I lost the pics of her parents, but I'll describe 'em.
    Mom (Candy): Maltese/Poodle Mix..... ALL WHITE
    Dad (Dusty): Yorkshire Terrier ........classic yorkie coloring....particulary a LOT of light golden tan
    Ruby %26amp; her 2 brothers were all born black, with small amounts of white. One had it on his forehead, the other, somewhere else, I don't remember. Ruby's small white spots ended up on the tips of her paws. She's starting to get white fur coming in......You can see it in the first pic.
    A pic of her back:
    http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad246
    And her moustache is starting to turn brown.
    http://i940.photobucket.com/albums/ad246
    I thought this was just 'cause she was a messy eater, but then I noticed that right after a bath, she still had brown on her moustache.
    She also had white fur coming in a little on her tail but.....
    1- it got trimmed off recently and
    2- she won't sit still long enough for a pic of her tail....you have no idea how long it took to get the pic of her back, lol......
    I appreciate your opinions. Well, the non-smartass opinions. ;)Will my puppy%26039;s fur change color? [[pics]]?
    Yorkshire Terriers are born black and the blue%26amp;tan color comes as they mature. So she may come out with a curly poodle coat with yorkie coloring... but she'll be two years old before you're sure.Will my puppy%26039;s fur change color? [[pics]]?
    She probably won't change much. I have a small dog. Her hair is two different colors...on one piece of hair. One half is blonde and the tips are black. She's 5 and hasn't changed much in color so im guessing urs won't either.Will my puppy%26039;s fur change color? [[pics]]?
    Most dogs change color as they mature. You will probably notice slight changes in her coat and fur as she grows up. When my dog was a pup he had an entirely black saddle but now he has lots of white fur running along his back.Will my puppy%26039;s fur change color? [[pics]]?
    She's cute!!! She will probably get a little bit lighter, maybe some sprinkles of a whitish color throughout. It doesn't really look like she'll change color all that much though. The majority of her will stay black.Will my puppy%26039;s fur change color? [[pics]]?
    If she was born this color. Most likely she will stay this color. A dark brown or black. As she gets older she may get grey around the muzzle. She's a cutie anyway.Will my puppy%26039;s fur change color? [[pics]]?
    Yes there is a possibility her colouring may change. Just like humans hair, dogs hair changes colour.
    She's a cutie :o)
    Take good care of her! Good luck
  • Does my dwarf hamster have wet tail or another disease?
    I recently got my dwarf hamster on fathers day in 2008. He is a little grey dwarf hamster that likes to run on his wheel at night, burrows a lot, and eats how much he should, when he should. His actions are perfectly normal, but i still think that he could have wet tail. When i got him, he looked perfect. Now when i look at him, his fur is not silk and smooth, but in a scruffy and oily way. Right behind his head, you can see a bit of his pink skin through his grey fur. On the bottom of his nose, it is a light shade of red, but it used to be a dark pink. Also, right above his nose, on his front face, you can see a bit of pink, but barely. His actions are perfectly normal, but it looks like ever since i got him, he's gotten a bit scruffed up. One time i dropped him, but nothing on him seemed to change, except his fur. He is used to hands, and he usually never bites. I see him clean himself. Does he have a disease or is it the change from the store care to my house care? HELP!Does my dwarf hamster have wet tail or another disease?
    Sounds like a healthy hamster to me, except that he may need a bath. Not!! A water bath, but a sand bath, he has not got wet tail or any other disease I assure you. The dwarf hamster檚 fur does get oily / greasy; they cannot remove this oil by normal grooming. In their natural habitat they use the sand in which to do this, by rolling about in it, the course action of the sand rubbing on the fur will remove the oil from the coat. You need to supply him with a deep ceramic dish, filled with Chinchilla sand, 榥ot?the dust. You can get this from any pet store; you can see the skin underneath because the fur is matting. Once he has had a roll around in that a few times you will see his fur come back to normal.Does my dwarf hamster have wet tail or another disease?
    Hm, it's probably normal. I mean, you would know if he had wet tail. His bottom would be wet, and the cage would smell horrible, etc. He's probably fine, especially if he is acting fine. A lot of animals have changing traits as they grow up. But if you are still worried, find a small animal doctor in the area and give them a call. That way they can tell you if he's ok, or if you should bring him in. Good luck with your little furball!Does my dwarf hamster have wet tail or another disease?
    It isn't wet tail. Wet tail is essentially incurable where the poor thing is going potty constantly, they get dehydrated and die. The change may just be the stress of a new environment. The oiliness you speak of may actually be the oil he gets off of people's hands when they handle him. Their fur is so fine that even though you don't think your hands are oily, it shows up on his coat. Just keep an eye on him, but I am pretty sure he is fine.Does my dwarf hamster have wet tail or another disease?
    The switch of environments can certainly be very stressful for the wee hammy, but it doesn't sound like wet tail. If he had wet tail, his bottom would be a mess. It sounds like he may have an allergy to his bedding. Make sure you are not using cedar or pine chips. You need to use something called carefresh. It could have to do with how frequently he is being changed, and the ventilation in his cage as well. The smaller the space, the more often he should be changed. Also, a 10 gallon tank with a screen top works well with these guys. Those plastic containers are cute, but they hold in the heat, and the odor! You can put all kinds of tubes, and trinkets in a tank to lively it up. We even put stickers on ours!
    Give him bits of veggies, greens, and fruit along with his hammy pellets, and fresh water every day!Does my dwarf hamster have wet tail or another disease?
    Your hamster doesn't have wet tail, it sounds like he's just aging, maybe going through stress. I don't suggest keeping a stereo system near his/her cage. If your hamster had wet tail his %26quot;presents%26quot; would be runny, and you would notice it.
